What does it mean to use affiliate marketing? This is all new to me too, so let me explain.
According to Wikipedia:
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.
Essentially, I like to think of affiliate marketing as a referral program. Wouldn’t you rather purchase a product based on a recommendation from a trusted friend or family member? Each affiliate link I share in my blog will take you directly to the product where you can purchase it. Purchasing the product from the affiliate link does not change the price for you, the consumer. When following the link and making a purchase I, Danielle the affiliate, will receive a small kick back for referring you to the product to make the purchase.
All products being recommended on this site were personally purchased by me. I will disclose in the post if I was offered something for free or additional benefits were offered to me from the company that produces the products in the review.
